Makeup For Dry Acne Prone Skin

I personally don't have the problem of choosing makeup for dry acne prone skin. I'm a grease ball, but I have a cousin who had this problem. We used to say that we were the only people of a certain age who still had a tube of medicated acne cream on their vanity. Acne can be difficult at any stage of life, but what is confusing is having dry skin with it. Did the acne come before the dry skin, or did the dry skin come before the acne? I believe that with the right skin care products it really doesn't matter. You just want to get rid of both problems.

FREE!! Recommendation of the makeup and skin care products I use, and what I would recommend to anyone with dry acne prone skin.

Again, you will be the guinea pig as to which products you would like to choose. Just make sure to find cosmetics that are oil free, noncomedogenic, that contain ingredients which actually kill bacteria, and which are as pure and natural as possible. So, try these suggestions to conceal your zits and put your best face forward.

Makeup Tips For Dry Acne Prone Skin

Wash face with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser for combination skin. Pat (don't rub) your face dry and use a toner which does not contain alcohol. Then apply a noncomedogenic (won't clog pores) moisturizer which has anti-bacterial properties.

Next, put concealer on your blemishes. Note: DO NOT use the original applicator that the concealer came with as you will just spread bacteria. Use a disposable cotton ball or cosmetic sponge and dab lightly and blend it into the rest of your face. Concealer should match your skin tone and be used sparingly. You will be able to apply more later if needed.

Now, if needed, apply your foundation by placing some on a cotton ball or cosmetic sponge and lightly dab the surface of your face. Just blend gently. This step may be entirely excluded if you don't think it is needed and you have an even skin tone after the concealer. Another suggestion is mineral makeup for dry skin. Just be sure to get the kind designed specifically for dry skin.

Continue with your regular cosmetics routine for the rest of your face. And be sure to remove all traces of cosmetics thoroughly at night before you go to bed. Treat your skin gently and no fair picking at those zits!

Application

I am not an expert in cosmetic application by any means. I know what works for me and that is about it. I always thought it would be fun to learn how to be a cosmetic artist. If you have always thought you would like to learn how to apply makeup better for yourself or others you are in luck. I have found two sites that have some terrific ideas. Choose the one you like best. I just can't choose between the two because I like them both. Check them out: Try Valentina a professing makeup junkie. And try Cari for some easy cosmetic tips.
