Diabetes

What Causes Diabetes

No one knows what causes diabetes at this time, however, we know that it is a disease in which the hormone, insulin, is improperly used by the body. Insulin converts sugar, starches, and other foods into energy for the body to use as needed. When blood glucose levels remain high the skin is robbed of its vital moisture, resulting in dry skin.

Early Symptoms of Diabetes

Often the first sign of this disease is a skin disorder or condition. About 75 percent of diabetics suffer from dry skin. Skin problems for a diabetic patient are more difficult to treat due to the body’s inability to heal and renew itself with this condition. You need a special lotion for healing extremely dry skin.

By reading this article you will be able to meet the skin issues ahead. You will gain insight into the core causes of dry skin related to your health challenge. You will be able to regain control of your dry skin by getting into a routine each day to resolve, heal, and renew your skin.
